Subjects of Study

Subjects of Study

English Essay on "Subjects of Study"

Right from the beginning, I have been dreaming of becoming an engineer. I have been studying Science subjects to achieve my ambition. At present I am in F. Sc. There are five subjects we have to study in all. These are English, Urdu (the two subjects compulsory for all F. A. or F. Sc. students), Physics, Chemistry
and Mathematics.

Urdu is our national language. But that is not the only reason I like it. I do so because I naturally like poetry. Poets like Mu Taqi Mir, Ghalib and Iqb.il fill my heart with pleasure and move me. I can appreciate good prose also, but my preference for poetry remains.

I am fully conscious of the fact that English is the most import at language in the world today. The mini reason i that information of the latest kind on all subjects is largely found in that language. Over the years, English has got the status of the international language.4essays.blogspot.com One must have fair knowledge of it if one desires to have an access to the most modern discoveries in the various fields of life. So I take special care about it. I knew that good English will immensely help me in making advanced study of technical subjects.

Chemistry is not my best subject. Studying the properties of gases, liquids” and solids’, preparing acids, etc, is not to my taste. I knew, too, that I shall not be specializing in Chemistry. Nevertheless I do not dislike it. Rather, I feel that having a basic knowledge of it is not without use. For there is a Science known as chemical engineering, and an engineer, even if he is not directly concerned with it, should know something about a branch of his profession.

Physics I love to study. Mechanics, motion, energy, gravitation mechanical and thermal properties of matter, sound, etc., these are the things the study of which I enjoy, besides being enlightened” by it. When I think in what perfect order this universe is working, and what great minds have tried to dig out its mysteries, like Newton and Einstein, I am simply filled with wonder. Physics is one kind of attempt man has made to find out the laws which govern our physical universe and many of which are still secret.

But let me say, it is Mathematics which is my favourite. The hours in which study is a positive pleasure to me are those in which deal with Calculus, Algebraic and trigonometric equations, etc. During my academic career, Mathematics has fascinated me most. After doing M. Sc. in Mathematics, I shall go, if possible, to some foreign university to acquire higher education.
