English Essay on "What I Intend To Do After Passing the Secondary Examination"

What I Intend To Do After Passing the Secondary Examination

Points: Introduction - Arguments against higher education – Regard for Secondary Examination Certificate - Benefits of higher education Conclusion.
After passing my Secondary Examination I intend to join the College. There may be people who do not believe in higher education. They may say that reading in the college is mere wasting of time and money as the university degree does not count much these days.
Before giving arguments in support of higher education, let me see the general opinion of the people. This is amply proved by the facts that an ordinary graduate runs after post carrying, say rupees six hundred per month. He attends many interviews without any success. Moreover the higher education is not of any practical use in life. Surely human life is not long enough for that.

My Favourite Poet

Essay : [My favourite poet]

English Essay on "My favourite poet" OR "The poet I admire most"

My favourite poet

Points: Introduction - Why l like Iqbal - His poetical achievements - A great poet and leader.
I am a great admirer of Dr .Sir Mohammad Iqbal, the poet of the East. He is not only the greatest poet of our age but he is one of the greatest poets of all times. Few poets wrote so many great poems as he did. He did not write poetry to please his readers or to earn money. Nor did he write poetry because it was fashion to write poetry in his age. Poetry was only one of his many accomplishments.
Dr. Iqbal was infact, much more than a poet. He was a scholar and a philosopher. He was well-versed in philosophy both eastern and western. His study of law was a sheer mistake on his part. This poet in him nourished and nurtured from his boyhood days took the better of the lawyer in him, and he turned his attention to Urdu poetry which had been, as it were his life-blood. He was a poet and philosopher combined and the ideas conveyed through his Asrar-i-Khudi, Shikwa-Jawab-e-Shikwa were new and very appealing.

When I was young I did not like my school teacher because sometimes he used to beat me. It is good that the system of beating is abolished now. We had to go to school early in the morning. Leadership

Essay : [Leadership]

English Essay on "Leadership"

Leadership

Ours is an organized society and any organization, for the accomplishment of its objectives, requires efficient leadership. Efficient dedicated leadership and resources, both natural and human, are requisites for a nation to develop and progress. The days when people could be driven are long gone and today people are led. An educated and sophisticated group of people need an intelligent and forward-looking leader. The students have their teacher to follow, the family, the father, and the nation, its political leader.
The leader is the symbol of unity. The British Crown is symbolic of the links that bind the members of the Commonwealth. It is often leadership that strengthens an organization and makes it vigorous and viable. Often, when a leader is discredited, the organization is thrown into a minor tumult and rival leaders vie to checkmate one another. Where the leader is not acceptable to the majority the members will he divided, and a fragmented organization will be an ineffective one.

The Importance of Water

Animals and plants have large percentages of water in their make-up and some animals regulate their movements according to the water sources.

Ambition, of course, is not confined to physical or worldly matters. In the spiritual realm, too, one's ambition can be realized. One of the best dressed men in the most fashionable city of Paris walked the dusty streets of Goa and Malacca with a begging bowl in his hand. Francis Xavier, the pleasure-seeking youth, was seized by the yearning not to suffer the loss of his soul. His motivation called faith gave him wings and he soared to great heights.

Of all the games. I like tennis best. Tennis is the king of all the games, and all the fashionable people like to play it. It is a favorite game of the cultured and the refined.
I have my reasons for liking tennis more than any other game. First of all tennis is not so violent as hockey or football is. It is physically impossible for a man of weak constitution like me to bear the heavy strain of either hockey or football. Only those who possess an exceptionally strong health can bear the strain of, and enjoy playing these games. But in the case of weak person they do more harm than good. Secondly, why I prefer tennis to any other game is that tennis is not so risky as hockey, football, or cricket.
